December solstice

"Shall we liken Christmas to the web in a loom?  There are many weavers, who work into the pattern the experience of their lives. When one generation goes, another comes to take up the weft where it has been dropped. The pattern changes as the mind changes, yet never begins quite anew.

At first, we are not sure that we discern the pattern, but at last we see that, unknown to the weavers themselves, something has taken shape before our eyes, and that they have made something very beautiful, something which compels our understanding."
-   Earl W. Count, 4,000 Years of Christmas

Solace

Which is worse, Past or Future? Neither. I will fold up my mind like a leaf and drift on this stream over the brink."

“Which will be soon,.."

"...and then the dark..."

These images feature Dainie Fraina's new fall dress, Solis Let your skin become the canvas as you grace your curves with the new Solis Collection by Artizana.
Solis is a 3/4 length, long-sleeved dress that comes in 20 unique solid hues. Each dress is embellished from head to toe with edgy yet subtly revealing peek-a-boo sunbursts.
Solis has been thoughtfully crafted by Dainie for a wide variety of avatar body types. The package includes  mesh appliers that are universally compatible with all the leading mesh body enhancements, including Maitreya, Belleza, The Mesh Project, Lolas, Slink, Wowmeh, Sking, Banned, Omega and more. Solis also comes with system clothing layers for standard avatars.
Each dress in this collection is available separately and is also available in an easy-to-use fatpack.

Surrealist

 Perhaps my life is nothing more than an image of this kind;

perhaps I am doomed to retrace my steps under the illusion that  I am exploring,

doomed to try and learn what I simply should recognize,

learning a mere fraction of what I have forgotten. - André Breton

(André Breton was a French writer, poet, and surrealist theorist. He is best known as the principal founder of Surrealism. In the Surrealist Manifesto  of 1924, he defined surrealism as "pure psychic automatism")

Requiem Dreamed

Yesterday, they brought you home from the land of the saints. Your friends gathered by the lake to celebrate your life. Your brother raised his hands to the wind and returned  you to the wild hills of our remorseless youth.  Fate robbed you of your memories, then death showed you mercy. There is an empty space now in that place in the world that was you.

I wore this outfit  to honor my mother's passing. I wore it again today to honor yours. Godspeed Emerson. You were ours for only a little while. You ride with the angels now.

Bayou Nights

This outfit was inspired by my sl home, New Toulouse Bayou, where I have been a resident since I first joined Second Life. The outfit is a little boho, and a little chill, like me, and its perfect for sultry summer evenings. I found most of the pieces, including the Miss Chelsea distressed denim bustier dress, which comes with the leather plaited belt, at sl fashion events. This dress is very well crafted with a beautiful fit and detailing.
One of my favorite passtimes is checking out the great special events our virtual world has to offer. My other favorite passitmes are  decorating my home and property, exploring and discovering unique and well built sims, and creating and styling new looks. So this outfit is inspired my life here in sl.
